Traineeships
Powercor and CitiPower traineeships offer a structured combination of formal TAFE study and paid work to enable you to qualify in a technical area.
Our traineeships can be undertaken in one of the two following disciplines:
Technical Officer Design
Running over a three-year perid, your main role will be to design overhead and underground electricity systems to enable customers to be connected and improvements to be carried out on the electricity network. This traineeship is ideal for people who enjoy an office-based environment (with some project site visits) and who have an interest in design tools such as GIS and AutoCAD.
Electrical Tester
Running over a four-year period, your main role will be to maintain, test and operate electrical plant, protection and control equipment and meet the challenge of technical problem solving. This traineeship is ideal for people who enjoy mathematical calculations and problem solving.
