CitiPower and Powercor win Customer Service excellence awards!

CitiPower and Powercor Australia have been awarded the 2011 Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) National and Victorian Large Business of the Year awards.

The CSIA Australian Service Excellence Awards recognise achievement and high standards of management, training and commitment to excellence in customer service. The winners of this year’s awards were chosen from a field of Australia’s top and most successful customer service organisations.

Held in Sydney on 26 October, the 2011Australian Service Excellence Awards is the 10th anniversary of these awards that recognise the commitment to service excellence by individuals and organisations.  This year’s event was attended by approximately 600 quests from major companies and organisations from across Australia including AMP, Commonwealth Bank, Ergon Energy, Queensland Rail, Grays Online, American Express, HP, Telstra, Optus, St George, Virgin Blue, MLC, iiNet and ETSA.

“This is a great result for our entire business and demonstrates that we really are delivering Powerful Customer Service,” said CitiPower and Powercor’s CEO Shane Breheny, “Congratulations to all our employees and thank you for your continued commitment to service excellence.”

CitiPower and Powercor’s Janet Hogarty also received a high commendation in the Team Leader of the Year category.

“Well done Janet!” Mr Breheny added, “Our company and our people continue to be highly regarded across all industries as leaders in customer service delivery.”

Our sister company ESTA in South Australia also won 5 state category awards.

With customer expectations continually rising, the wider business community is becoming aware of the value and role that customer service plays in achieving business success.
