Drones help Colac crews with re-conductor works at Johanna
Earlier this month our Colac crews were working in the remote coastal area of Johanna, south of Lavers Hill, replacing 3.5km of ageing powerline to help improve reliability for more than 50 customers.
What makes it even more interesting? The team used in-house drones to help get the job done safely and efficiently from above.
The drones are giving our lineys a better view of hard-to-reach areas, helping them plan, work safer and save time in some pretty challenging terrain.
Hear from Jack Horner at our Colac depot on how this tech is changing the way the job gets done.
