In 2024-2025, all Australian households will receive a $300 rebate on their electricity bill from the Australian Government. Eligible small businesses will receive a $325 rebate.

The rebate will automatically be paid in quarterly instalments via your electricity retailer. Households in embedded networks will be eligible via an application process managed by the Victorian Government.

From 1 October 2024, new and upgraded rooftop solar systems will be able to be remotely reduced or stopped if there is an excess of energy in the network.
