eConnect is our online service for connection applications or alterations.

Once registered with eConnect, you can:

  • Seek pre-approval for a rooftop solar connection or extend a current request
  • Plan for embedded generation with the capacity to generate up to 200kW
  • Arrange a new connection at your business
  • Make alterations or abolish (disconnect) your current connection
  • Book an appointment for services such as a meter inspection
  • Bundle requests for multiple alterations, new metered connections or abolishments at a multi-occupancy site when they all need to happen at the same time
  • Check the status of a project

You can track and monitor the progress of your application or update or cancel requests online too.

If you are working with a licenced electrician (or Registered Electrical Contractor), or other specialist providers like an energy retailer or solar installer, then they are likely to be registered already and can submit applications via eConnect on your behalf.

Please note, remote re-energisations are available between 8am and 9pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays.

De-energisations occur between 10:00am and 5:00pm Monday – Friday.

Disconnection requests occurring between 10:00am and 2:00pm Monday – Thursday.
